The Coolangatta Surf Life Saving Supporters Club (CSLSSC) is committed to supporting local charities, not-for-profits, and community groups through our Community Raffles. To ensure fairness and transparency, we have established a formal application and selection process.
This outlines the eligibility criteria, application process, and expectations for selected beneficiaries.

Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for support through the Community Raffle program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a registered charity, not-for-profit, or recognised community group. (Exemptions
may be granted in exceptional cases.)
- Demonstrate alignment with community values and needs.
- Operate within Coolangatta or the surrounding region.
- Clearly outline how the funds will benefit the community.
- Agree to provide a brief impact report or acknowledgment after receiving funds.
- Commit to positively promoting Coolangatta Surf Club through their communication
channels during the raffle period.
- Organisations are eligible for funding once per year, unless special circumstances
apply.
Â
Application Process
- Submission: Interested community groups must complete a simple application form detailing their mission, activities, and intended use of funds.
- Review: Applications are reviewed by the Board on a quarterly basis.
- Selection: Successful applicants will be allocated a month of Wednesday night raffles for fundraising support.
- Volunteer Requirement: The organisation must supply at least two volunteers each week to assist with raffle ticket sales.
- Story Submission: The group must provide a brief story about their mission and community impact for club promotion.
- Encouragement of Membership: Selected groups are strongly encouraged to become members of Coolangatta SLSSC.
Â
Financial Transparency
- A weekly record of profits (after prize costs) will be provided to the volunteers.
- The total monthly profit (after costs) will be electronically transferred to the beneficiary by the 5th working day of the following month.
- A media opportunity may be arranged at the end of the month to promote the organisation and acknowledge their involvement.
Â
Notification & Acknowledgment

- Beneficiaries are encouraged to provide feedback or recognition, such as a social media post or newsletter mention.
Â
Timeline & Planning
- To ensure consistency and advance scheduling, CSLSSC follows a structured planning approach:
- Quarterly Review Meetings: The board assesses applications every three months.
