About Coolangatta Surf Lifesaving Club
A Proud History Of Service
Since 1959, Coolangatta Surf Life Saving Club has been a proud part of the local community, dedicated to keeping our beaches safe and supporting the surf lifesaving movement.
As one of Queensland’s iconic surf clubs, we are built on a strong tradition of volunteer service, teamwork, and community spirit.
For generations, local families have contributed to our proud tradition of volunteer beach patrols. Today, over 500 active members continue this legacy, donating thousands of patrol hours annually to ensure swimmer safety on Coolangatta Beach.
Led by our experienced committee, we continue to uphold the values of surf lifesaving while providing opportunities for members to learn new skills, compete in surf sports, and be part of Australia’s largest volunteer movement.
Whether you’re looking to get involved, support the club, or learn more about our history, we welcome you to Coolangatta SLSC.
