Welcome to Coolangatta SLSC—where members of all ages develop valuable skills in a supportive, family-friendly environment. Our club offers multiple membership pathways tailored to your interests and abilities:
Nippers Membership (Ages 5-14)
Build your child’s confidence and beach safety skills through our acclaimed junior program. Children learn surf awareness and water safety while making friends and having fun. A parent/guardian membership is required to support your Nipper’s journey.
Active Membership (Ages 13+)
Become a qualified surf lifesaver and make a real difference in our community. We provide comprehensive training in rescue techniques, first aid, and beach management. Active members:
- Conduct regular beach patrols during the surf season
- Access our fully-equipped training gym
- Can participate in competitive surf sports events
- Develop leadership and teamwork skills
Associate Membership
Support our vital community service without patrol commitments. This popular option for Nipper parents and community supporters offers club involvement while contributing to beach safety initiatives.
At Coolangatta SLSC, members develop lifelong friendships while gaining skills that extend well beyond the beach. Our inclusive club culture emphasizes teamwork, leadership, and community service—values that benefit members in all aspects of life.

Payment of membership fees can be processed through the online portal. Please note memberships will not be accepted until payment is received.
OR
Bring a completed membership form into the CSLSC office. You can also contact us to make other arrangements.

Blue Cards
Compulsory for committee positions, water safety personnel and age managers and ALL MEMBERS over 18 years of age.
Members can use the online application portal:
